Johnny Woods and the Western Pines
Johnny Woods and the Western Pines haven’t been playing together long, but each band member has a storied musical past.  Singer-songwriter Johnny Woods gigged around the Garden State for years, opening for artists such as Joan Osborne and Badfinger, before debuting last year’s “Broken Fences,” an original cd produced by Anthony Krizan of The Spin Doctors.

Drummer Yuergen Renner and bassist John Williams recorded and toured extensively with indie pop darlings The Cucumbers.  Guitarist Dave O’Donnell is a longtime north Jersey staple, playing with bands such as Byrdgrass, the Black River Rabble Rousers and the John Ginty Band.  And back-up vocalist Maryanne Woods has sung with Chris Isaak’s band and guitar great Matt Cartsonis, among others.

The new band plays classic rock, country and folk, as well as a few of Woods’ country/rock/Americana originals.
